Ingredients:
- 6-7 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips
- 1 vegan pie crust store-bought or homemade
Instructions:
Set the oven temperature to 375F 190C
Add the lemon juice and the sliced apples to a large mixing bowl
Toss in the coat
Combine the brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and granulated sugar in a different bowl
When the apples are evenly coated, add the sugar mixture and stir
Add the vegan chocolate chips and stir
Evenly spread out the apple mixture after transferring it into the pie crust
If desired, use strips of dough to form a lattice pattern or cover the pie with another pie crust
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes in a preheated oven, or until the filling is bubbling and the crust is golden brown
Before serving, let the pie cool for a little
