Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/4 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeo pepper, seeded and minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
- Lettuce, tomato, and avocado slices for garnish
Instructions:
Ground chicken, tequila, red onion, garlic, cilantro, jalapeo, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl
Combine well
Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty
Warm the grill up to medium-high heat and grease the grate
The patties should be cooked all the way through after 5 to 6 minutes on each side
In the last minute of cooking, cover the grill and put a slice of pepper jack cheese on top of each patty
This will melt the cheese
On the grill, toast the hamburger buns until they are just barely golden
Start by putting a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun
Then add a chicken tequila patty, tomato slices, avocado slices, and finally the top bun
Warm it up and serve it with your favorite sides
