These Lofthouse Sugar Cookie Duplicates are soft, pillowy, and delicious. Theyre ideal for any occasion, and you can personalize the frosting and sprinkles to suit your tastes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Food coloring optional
  • Sprinkles, for decorating

Instructions:

Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up

Put parchment paper on baking sheets

Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl with a whisk

In a different large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy

The egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract should all be mixed in

Add the sour cream and mix it in well

Add a few drops of food coloring and mix until the color you want is reached

Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined

Take small amounts of dough and roll them into balls

Once the baking sheets are ready, put the balls on them and use your palm to slightly flatten each one

After the oven is hot, bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden

After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way down

Add sprinkles to the cookies after they have cooled

Have fun with your tasty Lofthouse Sugar Cookie Copycats
